Catherine (Cat) Ramírez is no stranger to many at Cornell. She joined Cornell University in 2015 as the residential hall director for the Latino Living Center and the residential liaison to the Prefreshmen Summer Program.
Beginning Aug. 14, Cat will be joining the College of Arts & Sciences Academic Advising team as senior advisor/advising dean. Cat will serve on the freshmen/sophomore team and help with HEOP students, as well as assisting in coordinating the Prefreshmen Summer Program. Additionally, she will liaise with the Student Disability Services Office. The College of Arts and Sciences students and student services teams will greatly benefit from Cat’s experience over the past three years.
While earning her Master of Education at Rutgers University, Cat gained a variety of student services experiences in the areas of academic advising, career development, student leadership, and service learning. Cat also holds a bachelor of arts from Rutgers in psychology and is fluent in Spanish. She was recently awarded Cornell's Resident Hall Director of the Year Award this past May.
The Latina/o Studies Program and Latina/o/x Student Success Office welcomes Cat to the College of Arts and Sciences.
