Faculty Panel: Immigration, Migration, and Refugee Policies under the new Administration

The Trump administration introduced a wide range of new immigration and refugee policies. What are these and what are the implications and consequences? Are these changes unique to the U.S. or reflecting trends and developments in other parts of the world? Cornell faculty experts will examine our current state of immigration, migration, and refugee policies from a local, national, and international perspective. They will also address how these policy changes are affecting Cornell, one of THE pioneer institutions in promoting access to education for all qualified students - from any background and from around the world.

Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 1:30 pm to 2:45 pm • Statler Hall, Statler Auditorium

Panelists include Sergio Garcia-Rios, assistant professor of government and Latino studies; Shannon Marie Gleeson, associate professor of labor relations, law, and history; and Stephen Yale-Loehr, professor of immigration law practice. Moderated by Barbara Knuth, senior vice provost and dean of the Graduate School.

This faculty panel is presented by the Mario Einaudi Center for International Studies, Cornell Mosaic, and Latina/o Studies Program as part of Cornell Reunion 2017
