Reunion is an exciting time to have alumni come back and see the Program they have built and continue to build. Reunion 2018 included a wide range of activities that offered plenty of opportunities for Latina/o alumni to return to the hill.
The main event for Program alumni was held on Friday, June 8, when Latina/o Studies hosted a lunch and open house. The event brought alumni, staff and faculty to the 4th Floor of Rockefeller Hall for conversation and the opportunity to reminisce over old times and new beginnings.
This year, four of Cornell’s five diverse alumni associations – Cornell Asian Alumni Association (CAAA), Cornell Black Alumni Association (CBAA), Cornell Latino Alumni Association (CLAA) and Cornell University’s LGBT Alumni Association (CUGALA) – held Reunions. This is a step toward holding diverse reunions every three years, said Matt Carcella, director of diversity alumni programs.
The Latina/o community thanks the alumni and the Diversity Alumni Programs for its endless support and on-going commitment and contributions to the Latina/o Studies Program, Latina/o/x Student Success Office, and Latino Living Center.
