Each fall during Latinx Heritage Month, Cultura Ithaca! and the Latino Civic Association of Tompkins County organize the Cine con Cultura Latinx American Film Festival in Ithaca, New York. 2026 marks 12 years celebrating the work of Latin American/Latinx filmmakers from all over this hemisphere, providing a glimpse into Latin America and the Latinx-US.
We are thrilled to continue collaborating with local organizations/institutions this year, including our longtime partners Cornell Cinema and Cinemapolis; World Languages, Literatures and Cultures, the LGBTQ Center, Screen Cultures, and the Latin American and Caribbean Studies program at Ithaca College; as well as Romance Studies, Latin American and Caribbean Studies and the Latina/o Studies Program at Cornell University and the Reproductive Rights Film Festival.
The Latinx Film Festival Cine con Cultura starts September 14th and runs through October 21st. We'll bring 13 FREE films to Ithaca from all over Latin America and Latinx USA. You can find all trailers and more information about the film festival here: https://www.lcatompkins.org/cine26
