Latina/o studies congratulates Cornell alum, Andrew Martinez '12 for successfully defending his dissertation at the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education. Andrew graduated from Cornell University in 2012 with a major in Sociology, minoring in Latina/o studies. Following his undergraduate studies, he went on to work at Cornell as assistant director in Student Development Diversity Initiatives (626) before beginning his graduate studies.Dr. Martinez' research and dissertation is on how first generation Latinx students apply for and transition into Graduate School.Congrats, Dr. Martinez.
