Assistant Director for Undocumented/DACA Student Support joins Cornell University

Kevin Graham joins Cornell Univeristy as the first Assistant Director for Undocumented/DACA Student Support in the Office of the Dean of Students within the Diversity and Inclusivity portfolio. Kevin is from Georgetown, Guyana and received his bachelor of science in social work and his master’s degree in human resource management from Nazareth College (Rochester, NY). He most recently served as the Undocumented/DACAmented students graduate assistant in the International Engagement Office at the University of Rochester, spearheading many of the campuses undocumented/DACA student support initiatives. Additionally, Kevin interned with the Undocumented Student Program at UCLA. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Warner School of Education and Human Development Higher Education program at the University of Rochester. His dissertation explores how institutions of higher education serve undocumented/DACAmented students.

Kevin has a passion for mentorship, working with undergraduate students, and shaping institutional change. Kevin will work closely with various offices to strengthen campus connections for undocumented/DACA students, lead campus awareness workshops for faculty, staff, and students and, most importantly, work closely with students from mixed-status families and undocumented/DACA students to support student needs, programming, and initiatives.
