Latinx community welcomes Adriana Lima

The Latina/o Studies Program, Latino Living Center and the Latinx community at Cornell University welcomes Adriana Lima as the Residence Hall Director of the Latino Living Center beginning July 25, 2022. She graduated from Messiah University with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Sociology/Anthropology/Ethnic and Area Studies with a concentration in U.S. History. She is excited to return to an academic setting after working in Human Resources for Penske Logistics the last two years. Adriana is passionate about policy reform, combating racial discrimination through social awareness, as well as building/supporting interpersonal relationships, and healthy communities. In her free time, Adriana enjoys reading a good book, movie nights with lots of snacks, and traveling!

The Latino Living Center, founded in 1994, houses fifty-five residents who represent a variety of heritages and backgrounds. All have a common interest in the Latinx community, as demonstrated by events like the Café con Leche series, Bienvenidos BBQ, and the Latinx Unity Dinner.

Adriana is excited to begin working with and supporting the LLC, the Latinx community, and campus partners.

We look forward to her transition to the LLC and we extend a warm welcome from the Latinx community at Cornell. Adriana can be reached via email at al2366@cornell.edu.
