Each fall during Latinx Heritage Month, Cultura Ithaca! and the Latino Civic Association of Tompkins County organize the Cine con Cultura Latinx American Film Festival in Ithaca, New York. This year festival marks our eighth year celebrating the work of Latin American filmmakers from all over the continent, providing a glimpse into Latin America and the US.
This year's festival brings 14 films in Spanish, English, and Portuguese to Ithaca to celebrate Latinx Heritage Month (Sept. 17-Oct. 16). Film screenings will be held at Cornell Cinema, Cinemapolis, Ithaca College or virtually. Some films are free and are all open to the public.
The film festival is made possible by a collaboration between the Latino Civic Association of Tompkins County, Cultura Ithaca!, Cornell Cinema, Cinemapolis, FLEFF, Cornell University and Ithaca College.
